Flooring · Hybrid
Rigid core plank that is genuinely waterproof. It is the usual answer for a kitchen, a laundry, or a whole house that has to cope with kids and pets.
Open the range below to see every colour in it. We can supply other ranges from our suppliers too, so ask if you have one in mind.
Worth knowing
The core will not swell, so a spill that sits for an hour is not a problem. That is what separates hybrid from laminate.
The rigid core makes it firmer and a little louder than a flexible vinyl plank. Good underlay narrows the gap.
A rigid board bridges small dips instead of following them, so it needs less preparation than a thin plank.
Both are waterproof. Hybrid has a rigid core, so it feels firmer, bridges small dips in a slab and needs less preparation. Vinyl plank is flexible, softer and quieter underfoot, but it needs a flatter floor underneath. For a whole house with kids and pets, hybrid is the usual answer; for comfort and quiet, vinyl plank. See both in the showroom before you decide.
Kitchens and laundries, yes: the core will not swell, so a spill that sits for a while is not a problem. Bathrooms depend on the range’s warranty, and no plank goes in a shower. For a bathroom, sheet vinyl with almost no joins is the safest choice.
Often, yes. If the tiles are firmly stuck down and flat, a rigid hybrid board can usually go straight over them. Door clearances and skirting heights matter too. We check it all at the measure.
Sweep or vacuum, then a damp mop with a pH neutral cleaner. Keep steam mops, wax and polish off it. Felt pads under chair legs save the surface. Each range’s care guide is on its page.
Usually two to three weeks. We measure, you choose, we order, and we book the install once it lands.
